SWALCO Board Approves Funding for Electronics Recycling
SWALCO Board approves funding for the
Electronics Recycling Program for the remainder of this year.
These five collections sites are located in
Township & Cuba Township,
& Grayslake. SWALCO will continue to evaluate its options to
sustain this very successful recycling program and do their best to keep
the public informed.

Illinois Secretary of State Information
Due to the lack of a state budget, the Secretary of State's office is
suspending the mailing of vehicle registration renewal reminders. By
suspending this service, which will save approximately $450,000 per
month. Vehicle owners are encouraged to be mindful of their vehicle

Illinois EPA suspends the mailing of the vehicle emissions test
notices begining in December 2015. The following link will direct you to

ComEd Scam Alert
ComEd has seen an increase in reports of individuals calling ComEd
customers and falsely claiming their electric service will be
disconnected unless payment is made. These impersonators instruct
customers to buy a prepaid credit card and call back to a different
phone number with the personal identification number (PIN) or other
personal information. They also use a tactic called "spoofing" to
manipulate the Caller ID displayed phone number so it appears as a ComEd
ComEd representatives will never call you to ask you for cash or request
that you purchase a prepaid credit card to make a payment on your bill.
If you concerns about the status of your account, call ComEd's Customer
Service line at 1-800-334-7661 (1-800-EDISON1)
If you believe you have been the target of a phone scam, ComEd urges you
to contact the Illinois Attorney General's Office at 1-800-386-5438 (TTY
1-800-964-3013) or visit the
Illinois Attorney General's Website and
click on the "Protecting Consumers" link.
Road Improvements- 2015 Installation of Traffic Signals
Route 12/59, Molidor Rd, Sullivan Lake Road
Route 12/59 between Sullivan Lake Road and Molidor Road in Volo will be
reduced to one lane when workers are present for intersection
improvements and the installation of new traffic signals. Traffic lanes
will be reduced during the daytime hours at the intersection of Sullivan
Lake Road and Molidor Road. The project will be completed by June 2016.
