Vote By Mail Ballots MUST be postmarked 11/3/26 , …OR on ELECTION DAY at your polling site from 6AM – 7PM put in the inside Vote By Mail drop box ,….OR drop them at one of the following external Vote by Mail Ballot drop box locations until 7pm on 11/3/26:

Register To Vote:
- Voter Registration: Click Here The registration period for the online voter registration system closed on 10/18/2026 and will reopen on 11/05/2026.
- In Person Voter Registration: In Person registration closed on 10/6/2026 for the 11/3/2026 Election. Grant Township does have Deputy Registrars on staff (M-F 8:30am-4:00pm – No Holidays). You may also register at DMV locations. Register to vote in-person with a deputy registrar with two forms of ID: both with the voter’s name and one with their current address. Locations with deputy registrars can be found here and acceptable identification information can be found here.
- Grace Period Registration:
- Available at any Early voting site when open.
- On Election Day, you can register at any voting site or the Lake County Main Courthouse Lobby
- You must vote at the time of registration

- The United States Postal Service has changed how they postmark mail. It is being postmarked at the processing center not at the local post office (which will translate to a 1-2 day delay). You MUST ask the Post Office clerk to stamp your envelope if you are mailing your ballot days prior to the election date otherwise your ballot may not be counted. You can drop off your ballots at any of the secured Vote by Mail boxes at area polling places. Please make sure you have signed your ballot & have sealed the envelope.
