Interested in seeking to run for an office in 2026? Visit the Illinois Sate Board of Elections website at: elections.il.gov (Running For Office) to view the Candidates Guide. Lake County candidate petitions are available at lakecountyclerk.info and Illinois Sated candidate petitions are available on the Illinois State Board of Elections website under Candidate Services at elections.il.org. Petitions may be circulated for signatures to run for office now. The last day to file petitions is November 3, 2025.

- In Person Voter Registration: Grant Township does have Deputy Registrars on staff. You may also register at DMV locations. Register to vote in-person with a deputy registrar with two forms of ID: both with the voter’s name and one with their current address.
